The CSC I-129F Frenzy

Does anyone know with any degree of certanty what percentage VJ members make up of the total filers at USCIS? I have seen speculation of 6 to 10% if that is the case I suppose it would be safe to assume that half of that number would be VSC and the other half CSC regarding the I129F?

Let the Frenzy continue! I know there are still a lot waiting. Now that my NOA2 has come through I think things are going to get busy in a hurry. biggrin.gif

I wonder if this sudden flood of approvals, if it keeps up, will lead to a new backup downstream at NVC and then at the consulates. I'm not complaining, it's just a thought.

I doubt it will make a huge difference there. It's just a surge from the CSC, besides its in the Department of State's hands now. I have friends who work for State and they consider the USCIS very inefficient. USeless is how they refer to it.cool.gif

Jeffrey, you have seen fluctuations in the percentages because it varies by month. The following data is for CSC only, comparing the number of receipts of I-129F that CSC reported and the total number of VJ members on Igor's list for CSC. A similar calculation could be done for Vermont.

......USCIS receipts.....VJ Members.....Percentage

Jul.......1883..............142............7.54%

Aug.......1656..............185...........11.17%

Sep.......1483..............145............9.78%

Oct.......1714..............143............8.34%

Nov.......1447..............102............7.05%

Dec.......1442...............82............5.69%

It makes sense if you consider that half of July filers received NOA2 within a few months, so not as many joined this site.

The longer someone waits, the more likely they are to not only find VJ, but become a member.

I get the number of USCIS receipts from here: http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=2&charttype=1

I had also found this site on VJ a while back http://tom.ae/igor_completeness.php

It's a visual representation of Igor's list data.

It's been fun to watch when the approvals are greater than 15 per day as you get a quick glimpse of the progress without having to count :)

The site is a little quirky. The script doesn't want to run on my work PC, but works fine on my laptop and iPhone.

When you change the service center from California to Vermont, the data changes but it still says California. It's easy to tell by looking at the data which service center you are viewing though. :)

Yes a few of us have done the stats, it is on average 6.5%. Depending on the month, it varies up to 7% and down to 5.5%. So take the 30 something approvals and you get something like several hundred real approvals. Which I can also verify as I also track each wAC# from my case to July 18th and I can tell you that in that small group there were over 130 approvals on Friday and 43 RFE's.......

Funny thing about August though, if you were to have looked at the stat of VJ's to receipts two months ago, there were only around 135 of us ~7%.

I just hope this frenzy continues for the (unlucky) early November filers.

Just think if I sent in my application 3 weeks later I might have already been approved?! Thanks CSC that makes a lot of sense.. :bonk:

Type in your case number into USCIS website to check your status. Then check your number minus 1, then 2 then 3..

It will just tell you if anyone that submitting around you is approved yet.

April is H-1B approval month. It's always slow in April.

To the frustration of many, CSC started the year with "competing agency priorities" (USCIS words, not mine) and was approving I-129F petitions at record low rates. The numbers given here are taken solely from VJ members updating their timelines.

January: 18 NOA2, 4 RFE

February: 15 NOA2, 8 RFE

March: 26 NOA2, 3 RFE

April began like the previous months of 2013:

First week of April - 4 NOA2, 0 RFE

And then the CSC frenzy began! Starting slowly at first with November/December approvals, the momentum picked up quite quickly and shifted to July-September approvals:

April 8: 6 NOA2

April 9: 5 NOA2

April 10: 0 NOA2

April 11: 6 NOA2, 1 RFE

April 12: 8 NOA2, 2 RFE

April 13: 0 NOA2, 2 RFE (Saturday)

April 15: 12 NOA2

April 16: 14 NOA2, 3 RFE

April 17: 26 NOA2, 5 RFE

April 18: 26 NOA2, 7 RFE

April 19: 31 NOA2, 4 RFE

April 20: 10 NOA2 (Saturday)

This is a breakdown of the April approvals by NOA1 month:

July: 19

August: 53

September: 32

October: 1

November: 14

December: 29

It is good to see CSC clearing out their backlog. Congratulations to all that have been approved!!!

I hope this continues until they are back to a 5 month processing timeframe.
