Hi Everyone,

I know I am not the only one here who has not received there NOA2. I filed my k-1 on sep 14. I have been told since Jan. that I need to wait two more months. They finally told me that in may I can do an e-request. I have gotten so fed up that I have contacted my senator and they have told us that they have emailed USCIS and that that is all they can do!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I call USCIS 3 times a week to just be annoying, I have called the lady from the senators office that is working our case and she is no helping. I am starting to wondering if the reason this is taking so long is b/c my fiance is from Turkey? Has anyone from Turkey had this problem? Does anyone have some helpful suggestions as to what I can do to speed this up?

Thank you and good luck to everyone!

It has nothing to do with your fiancé being from Turkey.

Hi Everyone,

I know it's awful to wait so long, and I am sorry for you! We've only been waiting since November and it still feels like forever.

However, the situation has improved in this last week, and you are NOT ALONE, by any means. If you look at the timelines here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=2&sortby=2 and scroll down, you will see that there are nearly 100 people who filed in September still waiting -- and that's just those people who have timelines entered on VisaJourney (only about 6% of the total fiance petitioners). There are probably nearly 2000 real-life couples actually in your exact same situation, if my understanding of the percentages is correct.

Being from Turkey won't have any effect at THIS stage -- all couples, no matter where they are from, have to wait in this huge queue with no priority. Being from Turkey may affect your timelines and experiences later, at the embassy stage, so you should look around here for other Turkish couples' experiences.

I wish you the best of luck and I hope that maybe your Senator can help, but the chances are good that in a few more weeks, you may get your approval, if the good processing times continue!

AOS filed November 19, 2013, EAD/AP received January 30, 2014, interview and AOS Approval on February 27, 2014.

ROC filed December 3, 2015, NOA1 12/4/15, Biometrics 12/31/15, ROC Approval on June 16, 2016, 10-Year Green Card received June 22, 2016.

Please be patient just a little longer. I am sure you will hear something very soon. Take a look at Igor's list under Timelines on the link above. You will see that September approvals are realy only just starting. California has only just started processing at a good speed. My RFE only came on the 18th April and we filed on 7th August!

Just be patient. You're not alone here because we too have waited for 7 months+, fiance filed the petition last September earlier than you guys. It has nothing to do with your fiance's country. Maybe soon you'll get your approval as CSC is working well now from July-October K1 filers. Hang in there. :)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.
