Hello,

My husband (he is a sponsor, i'm an alien relative)is a student currently, he had income at the beginning of the year, he'll have income by the end of the year but we're filing everything now. what should we put for his current individual income.

we're using the income of his father as the household member to exceed federal poverty guidelines. His income is well above the poverty line.

thank you..

i think your question is very misleading. they asked you for your sponsors present income and not income that he or she might earn in when he gets a job or a business in few months time. so there fore, if your husband is presently not working, then i think you should put unemployed since his current state is unemployed. the form ask you to submit the current tax so i believe this would reveal the fact that he has always been engaged in employment and been his/her taxes. you can always get a 2nd sponsor in-case your patner is not working or his/her income does not meet the requirement of federal poverty income level. kindly wait for other people opinion on this matter
