Cool stuff - what was it done in? Maya?

Yes. Maya 8.0. :star:

Cool stuff - I'm way behind with those kind of apps. My mate and I used Poser 4 (very simple figure animation) to do a group multimedia project back at uni - basically shoot video, record sound and program the interface in Director. We left it till the last minute, too late to hire actors for the video segments we were supposed to shoot so we ended up doing the cut scenes in Poser, and recording the dialog ourselves.

Didn't complete it, but managed to scrape a decent grade for "ambition".

Lip-synching a 60 page script takes a surprisingly long time ;)

hehehe...I can imagine. I used to work in television animation and we'd get an audio tape of the table reads. However, I only animated the key poses.

3DS Max is the only other 3D software I've used. I went to school for traditional hand-drawn animation but that type of work quickly dried up in the late 90's. I don't know if you read where John Lasseter from Pixar is now heading up the animation studios at Disney. There are rumors that he's planning on reviving or at least producing some traditional animated films. They have a quality that 3D just can't reproduce. :star:

I heard that a lot of animation is done in South Korea these days. One of my favourite (recent) shows was Samurai Jack - stylised animation combined with some quite good writing.

Speaking of which I'm more into writing than actual 'production' - I do freelance articles, review pieces etc. but I'm trying to get started as a short story writer. I got myself a f/t job with a publishing house in NYC - so if I write something half-decent I'll be in the right place to get published - something that is nigh on impossible, unless you have a very good, very aggressive agent and a lot of time on your hands.
