The only thing I really noticed about his remarks was that he couldn't say 3 words without consulting his teleprompter. How hard would it be if something like that happened and you wanted to appear on tv to get up for 10 mins and say how sorry you are to all the victims families and thank everyone for thier hard work without an effin teleprompter? Why is it not newsworthy to point out him looking at a teleprompter at least 100 times during his remarks but when Marco Rubio sips water it's worth 155 plays? That guy can't say ####### with a mouthful if you unplug his little toy.

What a ridiculous thing to complain about.

If he didn't have his teleprompter, and said something stupid or misspoke, you'd be on here claiming he didn't have enough respect for the victims and their families to get his speech right.

Riddle me this, in 2007 Obama wasn't even president. Bush was, or did you forget? Everything you bolded happened on his watch, yet why would you target the guy next in line? We were heading into a recession before he even took the oath, yet the TPN didn't exist before 2009. Your hatred is blinding you to facts. I absolutely agree, I can't stand the Bush's either and yes he started this mess we're in 100% but I don't have hatred just a very strong dislike (there is a difference) for all of them starting with I'd have to say as far back and Johnson! That being said the current guy hasn't done anything to help. I didn't target him, he targeted himself. At what point will he and you start holding him responsible? Or is Bush gonna be responsible for his 8 years in office front to back? Everything I mentioned in my post didn't happen on Bush's watch. When he was running he talked about how Bush was unpatriotic for adding over $3 trillion to the national debt in 8 yrs while he single handedly added over $5 trillion in 4 yrs...what do you call him if Bush is "unpatriotic"? These are facts I'm not blind to however you seem to be? He's added more to the debt than the rest of the presidents all combined! Are you blind to that?! I did not vote for Obama neither time but when he took office I was really hoping he would be different and do what he had talked so much about. He was different alright but not how I was hoping! He will go down as the worst president in history so far. Carter used to hold that honor but no longer. It will take a while for any of the libs to admit that. And no I'm not a stark raving republican. I have voted for people on both sides and I am a conservative. The republicans we have now are not conservatives with the exception of a very few and I really hope some of them take charge very soon to turn this mess around. This guy certainly has no intentions of that whatsoever. No he hasn't said that, but his actions have repeatedly showed it. Bush hasn't been president since the first part of '08...this is 2013! WAKE UP!!! And before you say or imply it, I do not have a hatred for Obama, just a strong dislike and no it is not racially motivated! I was a huge supporter of Herman Cain and I would love to see Dr. Ben Carson run for president or Harry Alford maybe. They are some good level headed conservative black gentlemen with a great business sense about them and I think that would make great leaders and yes I think they could make a huge difference in this mess in 4 years or even less.

Marvin, I look at it this way: I made good money under Clinton. I made even more money under GWB, despite two recessions. Under Obama, I am barely treading water. Even with things picking up, my best month under Obama is worse than my worst month under Bush, but not as bad as my worst month under Clinton.

That was my whole point about our extremely biased media. It's amazing how they pick and choose. There was the school stabbing last week in Texas where some guy went crazy with a knife and stabbed 14 people. It barely even made TV on the lamestream media. Didn't fit thier anti-gun agenda.

Yes, a president making a speech reading off a teleprompter is normal, I just think it's disrepectful under the circumstances. That would be like me walking into a funeral home pulling out a hallmark sympathy card and reading it off to the family and walking away. Defeats the purpose in my opinion but that's just me.

Exactly. Have political issues you disagree with the President on? Discuss them! Everybody does. I don't think even Obama supporters support him 100%. I don't think any President has ever made everybody happy.

He is a politician, and like any politician, he will say whatever he needs to say to promote his agenda. I didn't even pay attention to what he said this time. I am sure he was gracious and very presidential and hopefully starting the healing process.

As far as teleprompter speeches, Presidents only make real news, when they veer away from what is on the teleprompter.

I bolded it because as you said "And in regards to the assassination threats", those were at Obama, not Bush. Who was president in 2007? If all these things got the people riled up and GWB was the POTUS at the time, why didn't attempts go up against him?

The GOP has had plenty of black conservatives, Colin Powell being the best one, but they wouldn't have never entertained it until Obama came first. I can't find one who was on the GOP ticket before then.

Are you kidding me? Show me a president that's had his birth certificate demanded after he took office. Show me a president that's been interrupted while speaking to Congress, show me the movements that have formed after his election. This president has endured things no other president has and ever will go through. Sorry if I don't think he's gotten a free pass.
