Very Disappointed

Today I saw the interview schedule for December for the Mumbai consulate and was initially excited - until I saw we were not scheduled. I really had positive thoughts that we would get a December interview. I even received e-mail replies from the consulate stating they hoped to schedule one in December. Ok....I know it was a "standard" reply e-mail, but even so....

As I looked at the case numbers that were assigned interviews I counted approximately 52 K1 and K3. I am pleased to see that many scheduled. However as I looked closer, I compared my case number to those listed. There are quite a few case numbers before ours scheduled. I have to admit I think that is great. I know most of these people have been waiting much longer than me throughout this whole process.

What really gets to me is there also are very many case numbers AFTER ours. Ok...I know in the real time their case number was assigned only a couple of weeks after hours - I calculated that, but it still stinks. Of course I am happy for them too, but just very disappointed for us.

Thanks for listening to me rant. It just has been a very depressing day.

And if any of you are one of the lucky ones who DID get scheduled in December for Mumbai, GOOD LUCK!!

Mumbai is slow and seems overloaded with applicants based on people here's experiences....

I am sure you will get interview in Jan.....

My wife is also waiting for pack-3 from mumbai and its been month since we have filed DCF and no news....

Have sent email to them and no response yet for two days...not able to get through over phone too.....

How was your exp of email exchange with them..do they respond fast ?? What phone no. are you guys calling to talk to them....23637407 is busy all the time....

Thanks Raj....things have already been updated and I made a new post. I e-mailed the consulate Sunday and today we got a reply today stating our interview is scheduled for December 18th!!

I have e-mailed them in the past and normally got a response in 1 -2 business days. I would not even worry about waiting for Packet 3 from them. Go to their web-site and download it. They sent us the wrong one, wrong forms, etc. Their e-mail response to me on this was just go to their web-site and download it. Even with Packet 4. My fiance talked to them on the phone about this and he was assured the web-site has the correct forms and it is just as easy to do this. I tried calling them Monday. I used the numbers listed on VJ and also the number listed on their web-site. I had no luck. I was able to connect in, but trying to figure which number to press was impossible. I even pressed one where it said to speak to a person and all I got was go to this site, e-mail this address, etc. When it was done with all of that I got a "Good-bye" and was disconnected. I spent 20 minutes doing this and finally said forget it. My fiance has always had luck connecting in to them. I am not sure what number he dialed.

Thanks Lori.....and congrats....you are kinda little lucky that they respond to your mails in two bus. days....for me, I guess, response is like 4 bus days.....( I guess sender's name matters )

Anyway, I tried calling constantly for 1.5 hrs today and finally got through after holding connected line for 15 min and was able to get case no. for my wife and after that I down-loaded Pack-3 from web and have sent them today only. They will recv it tomorrow and than waiting game for interview begins, I guess !!!!

But we hope to get interview in Feb.(if we are lucky than in January....)
