When we got married we requested an additional certified copy from the court and we sent that copy to NVC and had the original available for the interview. They did return the certified copy the day of the interview.

If you don't have another copy I would be nervous to send the only original copy.

Good luck

I gave them the original certificate with translation and photocopied both , they will return the original at the interview and keep the photocopies. My husband has an additional original in the event they lost mine.
