Certified Copy of Marriage Certificate

Hi all:

May I send in to NVC certified copy of Marriage Certificate of me (Petitioner)? I am not comfortable sending in original Marriage Certificate. Is it a black and white paper with all information of you and your spouse you get it from your county office with the Deputy Clerk signature on it and sealed stamp on it? I paid $1.50 fee for it. Is this the right one? I just wanna make sure before I send to NVC. Thanks!

02-06-13: Case approved, NOA2.
02-19-13: NVC received case.
03-08-13: Case # assigned--HCM2013******.
03-09-13: Paid AOS Fee $88.00.
03-09-13: Emailed DS-3032 from Beneficiary's email address.
03-13-13: AOS Fee showed as PAID & sent AOS package certified mail.
03-18-13: AOS package delivered @ 10:50 A.M.
03-18-13: DS-3032 accepted.
03-20-13: IV Bill Invoice.
03-21-13: Paid IV Fee $230.00.
03-23-13: IV Fee showed as PAID.
04-23-13: Sent IV package certified mail.

Haha, I can't be an expert :),just share about my case CR1

I submitted the Extract of Marriage Certificate. To make sure, you should call to NVC. My husband called to NVC before mailing.:P

A certified copy is a copy from the original issuer. So if that's what you did, that's what you have :)

What is Extract? You meant certified copy? :wacko:

If the certified copies came from vital records county, then you have the right copies. I kept my original marriage certificate/license that we got the very first time after we got married.. The only marriage certificates I sent off for my immmigration paper works, I got certified copies from vital records of my county

I'm talking about the paper that is extracted from the marriage records and issued by Government Office.

Same thing I think. It's a copy certified by the government office that issued the document to be an exact replica of the original.

Thank you. I think it's the same paper-certified copy from the county office. I'll plan to send in that if RFE, will send orginial marriage certificate.
