There was a policy change recently, maybe June 2013 and all waiver interview cases for K1 AOS are being sent from NBC to local field offices, at least according to my congressmans office who contacted our local field office. We have been waiting since August 27, 2012. It sucks. We could have went through an interview at the local field office April 2013, but the NBC just sat on it and then transferred it to the local field office on June 28, 2013. South incompetence in the USCIS. We are doing things legally and they let our country get invaded by boarder jumpers and then they get our benefits. Where is the justice.

I just read in another thread that someone adjusting from a K1 got an interview notice after 11 months of waiting. I have only been waiting for five months, but I find this situation (= K1's waiting so long while many of the ones adjusting from tourist/student visas get their interviews and GC's within 2-3 months) unbearable. It feels like us who do everything by the books are getting punished for doing things the 100 percent legal way.

Good luck to all K1's - let's hope for a speedy approval!

We just got a notice for an interview on September 5th. We will try to get it rescheduled earlier or later. Our baby is due to be born on September 4th and my wife will most likely be admitted in the hospital. Now to organize all of the paperwork to bring to the interview.

Good Day! We received the following from my Senator USCIS inquiry yesterday.

"According to the system this case has been identified as an interview waiver case and will be adjudicated at the NBC. This case is pending and is within the NBC processing time frame (approximately 6-9 months). The NBC is currently processing interview waiver cases which were received in August 2012."

I am just curious has anyone received their green card yet that was adjudicated at the NBC? As of Aug. 1st 2012 the NBC started processing interview waiver cases from what I understand.

Thanks in advance,

Alexi and Brent

we were told in August that we the card should be processed by February.
