I know a British couple who were kidnapped by Chechen militants years ago. They survived but just barely. I also know a Yemeni guy who is an Army officer who encountered Chechen members of AQAP when they kidnapped him in the South of Yemen. Apparently they are big fans of forcible sodomy and decapitation. Those guys are monsters, not even human. I'm reading the story as we speak, and it said nothing Islam being the source of the bombimg. But I guess if you are a follower of Islam and you commit a crime, that's the reason for it.

You beat me to it. Jumping to conclusions is a bad thing in something like this. I just pray that these were just sick human beings. Because if they have a Quran at home, Islam will get blamed.

If they have a Quran at home then they are going to turn out to be Radical Islamists, putting them in a very separate category from mainstream Muslims. They are not the same beyond some verbiage.

Guys, it is clear these people are muslim. There is no point trying to be so PC and arguing it (good for you though). But chechnyan= muslim.

But, that being said, there is no evidence yet that this has anything to do with radical islam, or that their religion or ideology informed their decisions in any way. We don't know why they did this, so jumping on islamophobia, seems to me, to be not a good thing to do.
