It's been more than two weeks since GUZ said the package has been mailed out but I still haven't got anything yet...any advice? How long it will normally take? Im not expecting this long for delivery service...

Welcome to the forum.

Are you using the old system, or the new system?

From my experience, the GUZ mailroom is notoriously slow. If all else fails, consider contacting the IV unit:

Please update your timeline to the correct interviewing embassy/consulate from Armenia to China. It benefits everyone that uses the system.

Good luck, and report back your progress.

Thank you! I think it should be new system. However, I assume I couldn't do anything to the system yet until I get the package right?

I thought everything would speed up after CSC...Looks like it's not yet...

So I read the passage about the short cut, by that way, I assume there's no difference between the papers they send out and the one on line right? Also, while printing the instruction, is it single or both sides of paper? Do you need to mail back both English and Chinese or just one version is good? Thx!

Take a look at this link:

The new system is so new that it appears that you may be one of the first to do it. We went through GUZ using the new system. As a consequence, your thoughts and experience is much appreciated.

So it appears that they don't have P3 Instruction on line any more. According to the old version, i only need to mail back the instrution form, ds-230part1, and EMS Label, right? Do I have to use EMS to send them document or other company is fine?

Definitely I would like to share my experience on new system once I get to use it...

CORRECTION of previous posting: We went through GUZ using the old system last year.***

If I remember correctly, I believe that the EMS label will be used when they send your approved visa in the passport back to the beneficiary. Did you establish an account/contact with:

http://www.ustraveldocs.com ? How is that going?

If all else fails, email the consulate. They take awhile to respond, but they were helpful.

Please be sure to keep a timeline, it will be helpful for others to figure out the process later.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

1. check with DoS Hotline, check for casefile status, report back casefile status here for further triage.

2. call NVC, get GUZ casefile number and BIN .

3. use the GUZ # and BIN, sign up for account at ustraveldocs.com (CGI Stanley)

good luck ! report back more, you are the lab rat experiment currently.

if you were waiting for P3 document set to be sent from Guangzhou IV, that's not done anymore.

if DoS Hotline says that GUZ IV has it, that's a plus.

you gots the NVC Casefile # (starts with GUZ) already,

so

----

CGI Stanley Announcement -> http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/immigrant_visas.html

China Portal, in English -> http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/index.html?firstTime=No

China Portal, in Chinese -> http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn_zh/index.html

I suggest you study post #1 and Post #7 at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/264972-shortcuts-when-checking-for-updates-from-the-nvc-and-dos/ and then when you learn of timetick 'GUZ IV Open CaseFile' then it's time to get busy with the ustraveldocs website.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck!

Thanks for your fast reply. It appears you are an expert comes to k1 visa. Really appreciate your help. Few questions,

1. Is nvc still sending out physical mails to guangzhou? Two workers told me two totally different answers, one is everything electronically, another one told me they sent it our via Dhl two days ago.

2. Does dos has more accurate info regarding my case statues? It seems guangzhou consulate has totally diffieren answe.

3. Lawyer suggest me to schedule via cgi Stanley since dos shows guangzhou receivd my files. Should I do it or wait for

The package 3?

Thanks m

i know a bit about Guangzhou. I would not call myself a K-1 visa expert, though.

I have some links for you - i'll post them in a moment - but I ask that you read through, click through, read the content.
