For those who doubted and said it wasn't possible. For those who said contacting our congressperson and/or senator was a waste of time, you are proof this wasn't a waste of time, and so I've seen from several others this week, that something can be done! I contacted one of my congressmen a few weeks ago and they told me there was nothing they could do. I'm going to try and contact my senators now. Thanks so much for giving us hope!

I have contacted my senator as well, with no results. I believe that they were concerned about our case because we had lots of dialog and copied emails to/from their office and the USCIS. After watching this board for many months, collecting data on approvals from the WAC#'s, I have come to my own personal conclusion that contacting the congressional representative does about as much as contacting a Tier2 at the USCIS. Here is some data to back it up: For July 30th, there were 16 Approvals this week alone including yours and 24 RFE's just to July 30th applications. I have come to realize that they go in some sequential order (plus minus several thousand cases at a time). My best guess is that one case officer grabs a stack of 50 cases or so and works them, while another grabs another 50 or so. Based on the interview with the director of the VSC, we can get that the average case officer approves 18-20/day and probably another 10RFE's. The only time contacting a Senator or the Tier2 does anybody something is when you case is clearly been skipped for some reason (like a water main break and someone slipped on your case while running out the door) and a "long" time has passed. I think, it was just your time! Congrats......
