I-130 application not at the closest field office

Then, that's great. Why do you care where they process the petition? They are simply spreading the workload from service centers to local offices. If you're talking to a tier 2 rep. then no worries

just had on Infopass appointment today and they told me that the file is at Kansas City not St. Paul

They also said that the file is in transit?! which they told me means someone has the file?!

does the above sentence make sense? transit = someone has the file

i'm very skeptical of the immigration officers because all of them seem to tell me different information. let me know if you think that above statement is right.

In transit seems to mean it's been boxed up and is either waiting to be shipped, actually in shipment, or sitting in the mailroom at the destination. You can ask, but possibly only your Congressional representative's staff will be able to find out, what the tracking number for the shipment is/was. That's what my staffer did for me.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

I'm going through the same thing I called T2 and this time they sent the answer in writing:

In response to your inquiry regarding your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, we Researched your case. Our records indicate your petion has been forwared to the Kansas City Field Office and is currently processing.

I have my congressman looking into it

I was wondering if anyone has a take on this?

in transit =? being reviewed?

07/22/2013 Received RFE (Bona Fide Marriage)
07/25/2013 Sent in RFE for requested information

02/14/2014 Passport with Visa in hand.

02/18/14 POE at DFW YES!!!!

*467 days from filing to arrival

03/31/2014 Green Card in hand :dancing:
