IMO, is ok they be nameless and faceless and anonymous. For me, if I recorded their names and badge #'s, I'd start slinging really sh|tty letters of complaint each time.

I've no extra time to do that, I'm busy with stuff.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

When you call, talk to Tier 2 office. Asked first ISO to transfer to Tier 2 office. Call couple of times.. First time I called in march and ISO told me that my case is at NBC, after a week or so, I called again and another ISO told me that it was transferred to Local office on Jan 9.. So I don't know how they come with answers but they do bluff.. So if you have time, you can take an infopass to your local office, asked them if they have your case.

So i called today and here is what i found out

the first ISO told me the case was transferred to a local field office but she didn't know which field office. She continually told me that there's nothing that can do to find more information. When i asked her to transfer me to her supervisor, she hung up on me....

So i didn't give up and called again and waited on the phone for another hour to talk to another ISO, he informed me that the case is in transit but he couldn't tell me where or when it was transferred because that was considered a priviliged information...

oh how i hate the USCIS, what do you recommend that i do next?

So a similar thing happened to me. T2 told me they sent them to an asylum office. I setup an INFOpass at my local and took all my documents with me. As it turns out they had my file at the right office, pulled the file and approved them on the spot.

Finished!

That is unbelievable! So first USCIS insists that your case went to the KC field office, and now they tell you two different stories...none of which are similar to what they told you the first time you called. It's clear we can't trust anything USCIS tells us. What's the point of even calling them if they are just going to lie you?

Loop and repeat. That's it, really .

get 5 to 10 answers, from 5 to 10 inquiries, record them to paper, and take the >40 pecent answer.

It was too much too call every day so i setup an infopass appointment for coming Monday. Hopefully they'll know what the hell is going on over there.

So were you able to find out if it's at the Kansas City office or different one? If it's in KC and you're in Minnesota where are you going for your infopass appointment?

I see. So can you schedule an Infopass appointment even if your case isn't at your local office? I thought your case has to actually be at the office in order to make an Infopass appointment.

But good luck on the appointment and please let us know what you find out.

well they gave me this bologna about how they send the file to the field office that has the shortest "processing" time.

How should i approach this subject matter tomorrow? What are some things that i need to learn from them?

Then, that's great. Why do you care where they process the petition? They are simply spreading the workload from service centers to local offices. If you're talking to a tier 2 rep. then no worries.

it could be the case that i'm not suppose to make an appointment until they have it, but at this point i'm just going to go in there to see what is going on with the case. They might be able to give me a more concrete answer instead being sent around in circles.

if they are sent it there because it would have been quicker, then i would have thought it should have been approved already. it's just that she didn't sound confident about the answer that she gave me and i think she just made something up to get me off the line...

just had on Infopass appointment today and they told me that the file is at Kansas City not St. Paul

They also said that the file is in transit?! which they told me means someone has the file?!

does the above sentence make sense? transit = someone has the file

i'm very skeptical of the immigration officers because all of them seem to tell me different information. let me know if you think that above statement is right.
