My fiance lives in an area that does not receive mail and does not have a street address. I have visited her house and there are no street signs, it just a designated area, but oddly enough there are like really expensive houses and brand new schools in the same vicinity as were she lives. Is this an issue I need to resolve or will a PO Box be sufficient for my Ghanian Fiance? Also while I have you attention, she needs to sign the G-325a, a written declaration of marrying me in 90 days and submit me passport size photos. Is there anything I am missing before I pay fed ex $100 dollars to mail me this envelope? Thank you in advance for all of your much needed support.

That was a major issue for us. We were able to send it to my husbands job. Does anyone work in A place where the package can be delivered? I would probably have here sign the documents that will go to NVC as well. Can't remember if they you will be doing the ds-230. You need two sets of photos by the way. One will go to NVC. Check the forums here for other stuff.

Sounds like you have everything you need for the filing.

Not sure on the address of your Fiance but don't think that would be an issue.

This immigration lawyer is saying I need to use both a physical and a PO Box for the I-129f. My fiance's physical address doesn't not have a street number or even a street name. this is the link:

and an older post on visa journey states otherwise

We had the exact same problem when we filed our I-129F last october, but then with my fiance's address (the petitioner).

My fiance lived in employee housing of a hotel, which had both a physical address and a PO Box.

The hotel didn't receive regular mail at the physical address (only packages), so we used the PO Box address at first, since that was used for regular mail.

Eventually we got a notice from the USCIS that they tried to send a receipt notice, which came back as undeliverable.

This is because the USCIS pertinently doesn't send mail to PO Boxes to avoid fraud!

After this, we decided to give up his sister's address (in january), who lived in the town next to his.

She also had both a physical address and a PO Box, but we decided to give up the physical address this time, not sure if it would be delivered there (since there are no mailmen in town).

Unfortunately we got another email from the USCIS that the next notice also came back as undeliverable.

Our last option was to use our immigration attorney's address (in march), even though she lives in a different state.

We have her as our case representative, so it shouldn't be a problem since she would be the one notified anyway.

This last address has been accepted by the USCIS (just like the other two before this), but this time we're sure the mail can be delivered at the designated address.

I suggest to either use a family member's address (w/o a PO Box), an attorney's address (if you have one) or rent a mailbox at a UPS store - or something similar at a post office there - (I heard from members on another forum, that's what they did).

Good luck with this!

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I have a physical address. My Ghanian Fiance doesn't. Do you think I will get an email of suspected fraud because I'm unable to identify a physical address for my Ghanian Fiance?

No, they won't suspect you of fraud. I meant to say they try to prevent that by not sending mail to PO Box addresses in general.

This way 'other people' (post office employees or other people with access to the same PO Box) won't be able to take or mess with your mail with confidential information.

The only thing that could happen is that you'll receive a notice by email - or at your own mail address - that mail sent to her came back as 'undeliverable'.

For the NOA1 and NOA2 it won't be a big deal, since you'll be the one receiving receipt notices on your US address, but it might become a problem when the embassy etc. will send her mail on her Ghana address.

That's why I say you should see if there's a possibility to change hers to another physical address in Ghana.

Maybe an address of her work place, family member or rent a mailbox at the post office there.

(I know if you rent a mailbox at an UPS store those will have a 'physical address', maybe they have a similar option in Ghana).

Again, good luck. I hope you'll be able to find a solution for this.
