Hello Fellow VisaJourney's.

Have a few questions which I am sure they have been answered by folks in here, but I could not find any though.

Background, I am a US Citizen and I am currently living in California. Recently I have brought my Dad via i-130 and now my dad lives with me and he is a Green Card holder.

Now the question is that I have my mom and other sibling living abroad, hence would it be faster for my mom and other siblings (all under 21 - oldest is 18 yrs old) to come to the United State by me sponsor them or would it be faster if my Dad sponsor them since my Dad has a green card? Please help.

Thanks.

It will be faster if you petition your mom. Less than 1 year process for a US citizen to petition parent (IR-5). Same timeline when you petitioned for your dad.

If your dad petitions for his wife & children, as a LPR (green card holder), the process will take 2 1/2 years.

If you petition for your siblings it may take decades depending from what country you are. Like for instance, in Philippines the process will take 23 years to petition siblings

F2A (children of permanent residents) is much less retrogressed than F4 (siblings of citizens). It would probably be faster for your father to sponsor your siblings while you sponsor your mother.
