Last year (2012) I was living with my fiance in Chile for 3 months. My adjusted gross income turned out to be $375 more than the 125% poverty guideline. I have a letter from my employer showing that I will make about $6,000 more than 2012. Our visa was approved without a problem but my concern is since I was in Chile for 2 months in 2013 and my 2012 taxes reflect I only made $375 more than the poverty guidelines would that be an issue of if u r over the guideline ur fine even if its only $375 over. I have a co-sponsor but really just want to do this on my own.

Thank you I really appreciate any and all help.

You made more than the 125% required right? then that should be enough, but I would explain it along with the letter from your employer, while the letter from an employer will not have alot of weight it can not hurt, show your pay stubs for this year.

I would file without the co-sponsor since you did make the 125% and will also make it this year.

Yes I made more than the 125% but only $375 more. I cannot really show my pay stubs since now I am just part time but starting May 17th I go to full time. I work for the local state department and they put through resolutions stating when I start working 40 or more hours once that is approved I will add that and a letter explaining my hours and how I made less because I was in Chile for so long. Thank you for your response. I assumed since I made over 125% it would be ok I was just nervous
