On April 18, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we certified our approval of this case and sent it to the appropriate appellate body for review. They will notify you directly when they make a final decision. If you move while this case is pending, follow the instructions provided in the notice and use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

can anyone explain what it means.. or if anyone is familiar with it or has gotten the same ish.. i would appreciate. thanks :)

I have seen other people explain this saying that it meant that the file was being sent to a local field office. I'm not sure so don't quote me on it.

You know, that makes sense. The word "approved" is throwing me off bigtime, as well as the fact that hardly anybody gets notification of being sent to a field office. The USCIS reps may tell you (still) that your file might be going to the local office for you to be interviewed, but that is actually pretty rare. I was told I should expect a local office interview as well, and it turned out not to be the case.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

with my husband's I-130, i got a notice that it was sent to a local field office... and was approved in 3months.. but with this one, it went straight to NBC... and this was the next notice that we got.. . i read on some forums though, that since some applications were at the field offices, they approve it and forward to "appellate body" = NBC, that issues the NOA2...

I am confused by the OP anyway because of two timelines. But if the NOA1 arrived on February 8 it is unlikely that NOA2 arrived already. I'm a lousy example to use because mine went so fast but if we're keeping with the regular trends then NOA2 arriving already would be surprising.

I hope that's what it is! I think I have also seen a post where it was the local office saying they were done with it and it was being sent back. I know the online updates and the wording has been very inconsistent over the past few months. Good luck. Everything will come when it's ready to come!
