I hate shopping! I never know what I want, so it doesn't make it any easier to know what to get someone else. The only people I have to shop for are my hubby, my daddy, and my best friend. She and I give christams and birthday gifts every New Years Eve. It makes it easier on us because we never know when we will see each other. But we are always together on New Years! Every other year I go to Kansas, or she comes to Philly. It's a good plan for us. Anyway, I haven't even thought about what I wanted. I only know that I want money to go to Morocco. But I did already ask my dad for a present. Normally he gets me things I want, not things I need. So this year I asked him for something I need and will benefit my health. Money to get to crowns for two of my teeth that I chipped a few months ago. So that's what I am getting! Yay! But that's all I know about so far. Apparently, Megan has to talk to Adil about what to get me this year, so I really want to know now! I love secret presents, but I hate waiting to get them! There I go rambling again... sorry. So I only have to pick up 4 gifts this year. Yay!

This year we have had a lot of additional expense we hadn't planned for - filing fees, attorney fees, etc. all related to immigration. We are not sure whether we are going to have to take our case to an Immigration Judge, so have to be careful that we have enough available for that, so Christmas will not be as extravagent as maybe it has in the past. Personally, I think it is a good thing (less extravagence, not the immigration thing) because it will mean our focus will be on the true meaning of Christmas and the gifts from God we should all be thankful for, not the material gifts given by each other.

None of us really need or want anything material but I would be the happiest person alive if my son's AOS were finally approved. But then, this will be the fourth Christmas he has been in this country and I ask for the same every year.

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!
