Bring the execs from pharma company and ask them why their exact med is costing half the price in other part of the world while they are charging crazy price in US.

I can answer that question for you. This is because government in other countries are not letting themselves be ripped off by big pharma. Here, it is a government of the corporations, by the corporations and for the corporations. That is why meds are insanely expensive here - because big pharma has bought and paid for the legislation to make that happen. And they're reaping sweet dividends on that expense.

No, you pasted that article into a thread that had absolutely NOTHING to do with Obamacare.

Nobody asked why and where it was pasted ..lol

It was pasted to show that Dems and President bad mouthed everyone who raised concerns about Obamacare and now ppl from his own party are not sure about it.

Same way they are bad mouthing the ppl who support budget cuts but maybe after couple years later they agree the budgets were required and did save the country.

Nice. That adds roughly $50K to the birth of each and every child. Broke an ankle? Too bad, that's $25K. Heart attack? Pony up $100K. Cancer? Get a rope.

You are going with $50k for child birth which is current number.

You are not calculating how much out of is marked by doc as the insurance is going to pay, first the doc will have to wait for the insurance company to pay him that is if and they pay him.

If not than doc will have to spend money on collection agency and try to recover as much as he can from $50K

On top of it every doc in US is worried about being sued for which they have a heavy insurance policy, for which he is charging patient.

Forcing more ppl to have the insurance is not going to bring the cost of med down but its just going to be adding more business for insurance company.

It was my thread and the article was grossly off topic. You don't get to hi-jack my threads. Deal with it.

Dude you need to get off your high horse....lol

No one cares if it was your thread or not... if you dont like ppl posting on your thread stop creating thread.

I dont have any issue with mod for spliting the topic....:) I was just letting her know why the topic headline and post were not matching. I guess as usual u do understand simple things.

there is a difference between raising a valid concern and not understanding the topic at hand..case in point.

You do NOT know that. That's your assumption but I would submit that it is wrong. Without insurance paying for most services, hospitals would have to hedge even more against payment defaults which would be significantly higher absent broad insurance coverage.

Moderation did. Which is why they yanked your garbage out of my thread on my request. ;)

Mods only did split topic coz you were crying....

Heres the fodder for you from your state.

Normal Child birth no complication is $11337 with complication $27377 as usual you would inflate all the number but 100% inflation is little bit too much.

If you take away the cost I mentioned in earlier post these numbers would be even lower.

You are forgetting insurance company is not a non-profit organization sitting there thinking about welfare of the ppl.

If they really want to improve the health care, get rid of the insurance system.

Sure the government is going to make health insurance illegal any day now!

One only pays for the service one needs, one goes to the doctor pay the doctor right than and there.

Stop the frivolous law suit and the courts need to stop awarding these crazy amounts.

Yes, hospital ventilators etc should come with timers and credit card readers. Sorry kids, mom is dead because the darn machine wouldn't except my damn credit card.

Are docs and hospital giving free service?

What happens when insurance refuses to pay for the serivce performed by the doc?

it's called freedom, in case you weren't aware.

Practice what you preach....:P

healthcare should be available to whomever needs it, no matter their ability to pay.

any able bodied person who does not believe it is in the best interest to contribute to our healthcare system and in turn the health of our people, grow a soul.

Practice what you preach....:P

sarcasm.

The new healthcare is not going to fix anything, you have an example of the UK and have seen it working.

Infact is going to make it worse just imagine earlier a single doc had 10 patient now he will have 100, how is that going to improve the overall care?

I am not from the UK, but I have experienced the NHS first have and found it to be very good.
