I think that the families present have been clear and vocal about why they are there. And they have made abundantly clear that they are not props. Decent people would show some respect. If you respect them let them have their privacy, none of us are asking them to stand behind president or fly on AF1.

If they and President really cared and wanted to resolve the issue there would had done something to address the mental issue and treatment for ppl suffering from mental issues.

Also Feds only pursued 44 cases out of thousands who tried to purchase a gun when they were not eligible, why not focus on those?

Probably, this is common knowledge, but on the same day the massacre which sparked all of this happened in the U.S., there was an attack at a primary school in China. The difference was, the attacker in China used a knife, and not guns.

There were injuries, but, if I recall correctly, none of the kids died.

The real problem is, it's not hard to get a gun in the U.S. If you are going to need to get your hands on a gun with the intention of committing murder/suicide, you won't be deterred by laws... you're planning to die anyway, so who cares, right?

I think that this is not a problem, at all. A problem is something with a solution.
