Most times you have 6 months from the issue date to leave. In some cases they will issue it and you will have shorter time to leave the country. Cannot tell until you have the visa in hand.

You need to contact the embassy or DOS for an update since you do not have your visa in hand so it is still not issued.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

i got ir1

is it kind of visa ?

IR 1 means your married over 2 years once it was issued.

i heard about one pocket for officer in us ?and visa in my pass?

You should of gotten your visa back in a large brown envelope. You do not open the larger brown envelope you give it to the POE officer. The actual visa should be inside your passport.

I'm glad you added this, M.

We often say 'oh, all visas are valid for 6 months' when in fact, they often are not! :)
