Last-minute flights to Europe?

After a long, fruitless job search, I finally got an offer today! I'll be starting my job in a little less than a month.

Since I won't have vacation time for quite awhile after starting this job and my S/O probably won't have the time to visit me until the fall, we've been seriously contemplating meeting in Europe and spending five days or a week together. I've done some browsing on kayak and there's actually some decent rates still available. But does anyone who flies to Europe frequently have any additional tips for where to find last-minute deals? I'd be looking to go late April/early May.

Try this if you have some flexibility around your departure date and / or length of stay. You can query multiple departure and arrival airports all at once as well. You can't book on this site but you can find good deals and then book them directly with the carrier.
