for the aos submission of passaport

should i copy my fiancees whole passport, or just the part with the biographical info, which is where her picture is?

another thing why do people tell me to submit my aos as soon as possible, I am just wondering because someone at the courts said i can send it at anytime after we marry within the 90 days. just curious.

Be safe and send copies of all pages, even if they are blank.

The reason it is advisable that you start AOS as soon as possible is because that is the entire purpose of the process. The K-1 is only 1/2 of the way, whereas AOS is the other 1/2 , at this point. The sooner you get it started the sooner your wife will have her greencard, SSN, DL and all other documents she will need to live in the US. There is no legal reason for you to rush, but do it as soon as you can and get it over with.

Until it is done, your wife can not work or get back in the US if she leaves for any reason. The sooner the better.

You do not need to file AOS to get a social security number. But, as others have said, it's good to file so your wife can get a green card, which will allow her to work, leave and re-enter the country, and will ultimately start the path to citizenship. And, in some states, you need your EAD card to get a drivers license, so yeah, the sooner you can start the process the better. You might be able to apply for EAD/AP without AOS- not sure, but why would you? It's free to apply for EAD/AP when you apply for AOS. Plus the EAD is only good for a year, the green card extends it by two years. If you want to wait a few months, that's okay too. Just know that your wife won't be on the way to acquiring any of the aforementioned privileges.

As for the passport, it's better to send everything in full rather than get an RFE later. Send a copy of every page, front to back.

I mailed my AOS package yesterday, I only included photocopies of the biographical data page and the K1 visa page. I did not see anywhere in the instructions that all passport pages need to be sent, as far as I can see this was only necessary for my fiancée (now wife) when we filed the I-129F, as proof of her US citizenship.
