It seems they prioratise different types of applications in preference to others. I guess vermont more or less got to the USCIS target for I-129f petitions and prioratised something else.

I don't know how many staff they have working at these places but it seems kinda like the say, "ok, you can work on 1-129f's on your own for now while the rest of us do the others"

Either that or California and vermont are the same people. They just tell the staff they are California this week

That is a possibility. I just hope both service centers just pull themselves together and best of all, fast processing and approvals. If they say 5 months, they better keep it that way. If they say 6, then be it. I also hope they stop confusing people because the more they do, the more we bug them. Haha.

I think we all are starting to really feel the frustration of just waiting. I'm a Nov 2012 filer and I am starting to worry like crazy since 5 months has passed. USCIS still says I am within the processing time so now i feel like :bonk:

We need a miracle. :innocent:

I might call today, but I feel like I know what they're going to say. The e-request thing says I'm in normal processing times, but according to their site, that's not true.

Anyone know what to push to talk to a person? Their menu is pretty annoying.

I think you should try talking to a Tier 1 or Tier 2. http://www.dhs.gov/cis-ombudsman-update-getting-most-out-your-call-uscis-national-customer-service-center

That link will tell you how to do that. Please let us know what happens when you call them :) Goodluck!

October 3rd NOA1 here. When we started out california was fast and VSC slow. Then it was CSC slow and VSC fast. Then to my delight it was VSC fast and we were due to be approved in early april. Now just our luck VSC slow again. I called USCIS on Monday April 15th and they said that VSC was processing October 1st NOA1s and if I did not get approval by the end of the week, for me to call back and they would do a service inquiry. We are now at 6.5 months and waiting. everyone just hang in there i am sure VSC will pick up their speed even if it takes a month to do so. Just wishing it would be soon.

Well I called. At first she said that we'd be able to do a service request. Then she entered some stuff into the computer and apparently I still have to wait 38 days. "The processing times on the site are only goals, they may not always be accurate. I apologize."

So iunno. I got really excited at first like omg! But, alas, we still have to wait guys.

I hope it means you're close to an approval!

It makes me nervous how there haven't been any VSC approvals today after everything that happened at CSC..

Let's keep hope. n___n

This is truly frustrating. Hope you receive the good news soon! And yes, all we can do is wait patiently and pray for our approvals and wish it would be soon!

We filed on October 19, 2012 and received our NOA 1 on October 30, 2012. We have not heard a whisper. It is frustrating.

You should probably call them after a week and ask for service request. Just bug them until they give you results. Its what I am planning to do. hahaha
