Please Your Help is Needed

After a long wait we have just checked to see that our cheque for the I-129F has been cashed at our bank. Our question is: Now that our I-130 & I-129F have both been viewed and both cheques cashed does anyone know if the cheque for the I-129F is cashed at the Chicago lockbox in IL or would it be cashed at the National Benefits Center (NBC) in Missouri at the NBC center?? Since these locations are in two different states this makes a big difference. Because the package would now have to be sent to another state Missouri.

Oh is is so hard to figure out. Someon please help me

I'm not sure which office cashes the checks but I do you will recv a notice in the mail when the case is transferred.

I believe that depositing the checks is one of the functions performed by the Chicago Lockbox. But I fail to see the "big difference" that you mention.

The Chicago Lockbox is the incoming mailroom and sorting station for cases processed by the NBC. Once the mail has been opened and the case files have been assembled in Chicago, all of the files are shipped to Lees Summit for processing. What difference does it make which location deposits the checks?

With the advent of delivery services such as Fed-Ex, UPS, DHL and the like, it can absolutely positively be there (to MSC) overnight.....

Yodrak thanks for your reply. The difference is .... I assumed that processing starts when packages arives in Missouri. If the cheque was cashed in Chiacgo and then mailed to Missouri ( a whole new state) this would slow down processing. It never occured that these are sent via over night by FedX. Anyhow thanks for your remark. If I knew all the answers I wouldn't have to ask
