Hi, my wife answered no to the question if she's ever been denied entry to the US, been denied a visa, or denied entry to the US at a POE.

She tried getting a tourist visa 4 times in the past but was denied, never really understanding why she didn't get the tourist visa.

Our case closed yesterday at the NVC and we're just realizing the error. She says she didn't really understand the question, and to be honest I didn't quite know if that question referred to tourist visas, thinking it was referring to immigrant visas. So we answered No. Is there anything we can do? Thanks in advance?

Whether you like it or not, she lied. A visa is a visa no matter what.

Is an appeal an option? Personally I think you may have to start the whole process again

Suggest to call into NVC today, and suss out what's what. talk with a supervisor.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Don't worry, we had many errors like that on the DS-260 as well, including visa denials. At the interview, just make sure to bring up the error the second they ask for the DS-260. My fiancee did that today, and was approved, many of the questions on those forms are confusing, people make mistakes.
