What needs to happen here is people need to stop looking at the race and look at the facts.

I agree. The facts will come out at trial. Until then, it's all speculation.

Fact: TM was not committing any crime walking home from store, his suspensions for grafitti and smoking weed, has no bearing on that.

This is true. I think people are bringing this up because some TM supporters started using the opposite tactic to proclaim his innocence. It started, by some people saying, this poor innocent kid was gunned down. Then the other side researched him and used facts to show he wasn't such a great kid. Then the original side researched GZ and found out he wasn't such a good guy either. Now both sides use backgrounds to support their particular agenda. Most likely this is a result of two aggressive people meeting and making bad choices. I assume neither tried to avoid the other and it escalated from there. Guy with the gun won as they usually do. The gun part is the real shame. Its just so final.

Defend yourself doesn't work if you're the one that went looking for trouble. Sorry but that is what makes no sense.

That's not what you said though. You said Trayvon should have had a trial before he was shot. I'm just curious how that would work?

You seem to be the voice of reason in P&R. Your days here are numbered.

Or maybe people need to focus on the race and realize that the only reason why they find the murder of a teen acceptable is because that teen happened to be black.

This clip illustrates the point quite nicely.

You don't enable aggressive yahoos to run around with firearms. That's how it works. Sad that one has to spell it out.

If TM had been afforded a trial first, he'd still be alive today. Why was GZ not concerned about TM's right to due process?

In case you forgot what you said. Maybe you didn't have your morning coffee yet. But nice subject change on your part.

i completely disagree. two aggressive people? the kid was walking home from the store. neither tried to avoid the other, but one actively tracked the other down? the gun might be the weapon but a person pulled the trigger. in my opinion if tm had been white - this wouldn't have happened. a white kid in a hoody might have garnered a second look from ol patrolman gz, but nothing more. blatant stereotyping and mall cop disorder - there's yer trouble.

I did not forget what I said nor did I change subject. GZ had every opportunity to afford TM due process. The police was already on the way and literally minutes away. All GZ needed to do was stay put as he was asked to do by the dispatcher. He was in his car and in no danger at all. And yet, he chose to deprive TM of due process.

Nice try.

Yeah, but they ended up in a scuffle which means neither tried to retreat. Granted not one knows specifically what happened but I don't believe GZ would have should TM if he ran. I dunno, maybe he would have but in this case, there was a fight first. Or he beat the ####### out of himself to give himself justification
