The shirt says "no justice". I'd like to know what Jamie Foxx would consider to be justice in both cases. It's very easy to throw slogans on a shirt, but I'd like him to explain himself and how he connects the two.

this isn't an issue of "instigating some situation" is it?

i was suspended in high school once for my bestfriend's little sister threatening another student off of school property. i had nothing to do with the threat and i wasn't even present during the threat making - but i dressed funny and people thought i worshiped satan so, i got the day off.

the other time i was suspended in highschool, it was for participating in a student walkout in protest over a well loved teacher's contract not being renewed (presumably because she was involved in a lesbian relationship). my highschool suspended almost the junior class class for that one and considering the numbers - we had to serve our suspension in school, on a saturday.

so you say tm was suspended three times and i take that as an indicator that he attended public high school.

and as far as smoking pot goes - that's pretty standard and does not pack the punch that "history of drug use" implies.

the only reason that being suspended three times and drug use comes into play with this murder - is due to the victim's race. and we can beat that dead horse all day, because such stereotypes are well past any semblance of relevance in stopping the unwarranted murder of our youth. it needs to stop.

I agree, and this is my point:

People are so quick to say that smoking weed and grafitti can quickly lead to murder if you're a black teen, but domestic abuse and assaulting a police officer with resisting arrest, no one seems to bring that into the discussion.

And to answer your question, it's because those folks complaining are just being racist idiots, the comments speak for themselves.

I believe that a kid that has been suspended from school 3 different times, and has a history of drug use is much more likely to have instigated some situation than a straight A honor student. Does not mean it is an absolute but a indicator. his character absolutely makes a difference.

For the possible crime of mussing up GZ, maybe. For being the victim of homicide, NO! Murder is murder and the character, net worth, social standing, whatever of the victim are irrelevant!

The kids on the shirt. I saw this story and posted it because I found it strange that there was so much outrage over TM and the Newton kids being lumped together. They were victims of gun violence.

Why not have a picture of MLK or JFK on the shirt? They were both victims of gun violence. You see what I mean? People are itching to make this some kind of racial thing by comparing the two, when there is no comparison except that the Newtown kids and Trayvon Martin were both killed by guns. The similarities end there.

By the way, the spell-checker on this website is racist. When I type MLK it shows it as misspelled. When I type JFK it does not. An obvious slight to Martin Luther King.

Probably because this was recent, MLK and JFK killers were caught, the newton killer killed himself and GZ is awaiting trial.

It's a website thing. type JFK and then a space. type MLK and then a space. Even in your reply above is shows it mis-spelled.
