While it's a bunch of anti gun nuts. What would you expect.

Who here is an anti-gun nut? And who here is even defending Jamie Foxx and his stupid shirt, really?

Where is the outrage over these school children that the kenyan murders every month?

Don't you care about the children? Bush left office and now you are fine with this.

i'm not okay with it at all.

but obama did not shoot up sandy hook or murder trayvon martin, so, try to stay on topic.

He wasn't an angel, I have no issues with that. Let me tell you what I think happened:

I think that GZ saw him walking home and profiled him since most of the crime in that neighborhood was caused by black people. He called 911 and reported it, I've heard the tapes, nowhere in there did it say he was causing trouble, we hear assumptions(he LOOKS like he is on drugs) yet the kid had a hoodie on. We also hear them tell him he doesn't need to follow him, but he does anyway. The man got out of his car and is chasing this kid on foot. Who do you think was more scared for their lives, the 17 year old kid running away, or the 28 year old ARMED man chasing him down?

Now I could be wrong, but at worst case scenario, TM could have hid and caught him off guard with a blitz attack. At that point, what is there to talk about? You're a teenage boy in a neighborhood you don't live in trying to evade a grown man who for no reason other than wearing a hoodie and walking to the store has deemed you a threat. Folks love to talk about his history, but what was he doing the night he was killed? He didn't break any laws that night, and there was no indication he was going to break any. But folks sure love to paint him as a thug who got what he deserved.

He did attack GZ. I think that has been established.

I believe that a kid that has been suspended from school 3 different times, and has a history of drug use is much more likely to have instigated some situation than a straight A honor student. Does not mean it is an absolute but a indicator. his character absolutely makes a difference.

Makes a difference in what way? How does that change what happened that night? And why doesn't GZ's character make a difference? He was no angel either. But again - what difference does his school suspension have to do with what he was doing that night? Which, from various reports, seems to have been NOTHING.

He did attack GZ. I think that has been established.

If you were walking down the street alone one night, and you were being followed by a stranger who was demanding to know what you were doing and where you were going, what would you do?

That's what happened to the kid. And the executioner will stand trial for his crime.

I guess you don't believe in the innocent until proven guilty premise.

The shirt says "no justice". I'd like to know what Jamie Foxx would consider to be justice in both cases. It's very easy to throw slogans on a shirt, but I'd like him to explain himself and how he connects the two.

what he wants for Justice is fairly clear in the TM case. as for Newtown.. The killer is dead. What does he want us to do.

because he was being followed! why do you leave this part out? if gz had let the cops show up and question TM instead of being a mall cop on steroids, tm would more than likely still be free to smoke pot and spray paint stuff and eat skittles..

Do you know what I find amusing about all of this?

The same folks on here, who have guns and always defend using them in any situation: Pull up in someone's driveway on accident and get shot for rolling down the window? You deserve it. End up in someone's else house on accident and get shot? You should have known better. Deadly force is authorized in most of these cases, and it's never an issue for anyone who has a gun.

But, this kid, who was walking home from the store, being stalked by a stranger with a gun, who was running to catch him, who committed no crime other than being black with a hoodie, is being cruxified for doing what any pro gun owner would have done earlier.

If he was a white kid in a hoodie, he wouldn't ever register a look.

Did Trayvon Martin know that Zimmerman was armed before their altercation took place?

Absolutely !

he's a direct product of the moral decay in his family unit, and he choose to use provocative (sp? ) language to entice a gun-owner to accost him.

A straight-A student would not have utilized such language, and in truth, would not have been 'there' after his expulsion. (No expulsion, no drugs, no thug activities, his parents would keep his @ss at home, he would not have been visiting his father at a 2nd domicile ).

GZ isn't a saint, either, he's got similar problems from the moral decay as well - his family unit is for ####### also.

So, I blame it on the moral decay that he was exposed to, and participated in, all throughout his life on this planet.

Fix the moral decay, this stuff goes away in a generation.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Maybe so. But to compare it to a bunch of 4th graders being slaughtered at an elementary school is pretty insulting to the families of the dead children IMO. Talk about being opportunistic.

How so? How do you think his parents feel? It's been over a year and their son's killer still walks the street as a free man, their son is called a thug, criminal, and constantly disrespected by police, media and his killer's family members. If Mr. Foxx had just his picture on the shirt, it would have been so much worse, but I think he was saying that kids being killed by guns is just wrong.

GZ character is important and I bet it will play a huge part in the trial.

As for what I would have done. As a teenager confronted by an adult I probably would not have jumped them and tried to kill them.. But that's just me

Fix the moral decay? nah, that'd be too obvious.
