Not really, the whole point was that innocent kids were killed. I have yet to discover what Trayvon Martin was doing that earned him a death sentence.

He ran into a paranoid nutjob.

People died. The similarities end there. He should have put something on his shirt about the earthquake, tsunami and subsequent nuclear meltdown in Japan as well.

People died at the hands of nutjobs. That would then exclude the natural disasters and the subsequent nuclear meltdown.

The problem is the Media tried to make TM look like a 13 year old angel, when in fact he was a 17 year old punk. Plain and simple. he had a behavior pattern of drug use, vandalism and theft. Does they mean he should have died. Hell no. I was a bad kid also. Are those things a good indicator that he was a troubled youth and not quite the angel that he was portrayed. Yes.

the media's portrayal of the victim only matters to those who believe that a kid who smokes pot and has a few minor issues with authority is a 'bad kid'. and people who believe that, are completely out of touch with today's youth. anyway, being a "troubled youth" and not an "angel" has zero to do with the fact that his life was taken for absolutely no good reason.

So screw the trial. Just execute the guy.

So you think GZ just got out of his vehicle. Killed TM, the then beat his head against the cement to make it appear as if he had been assaulted ?

Just saying. Nothing like Newtown or even close. GZ will have his day in court and the facts will come out.

He wasn't an angel, I have no issues with that. Let me tell you what I think happened:

I think that GZ saw him walking home and profiled him since most of the crime in that neighborhood was caused by black people. He called 911 and reported it, I've heard the tapes, nowhere in there did it say he was causing trouble, we hear assumptions(he LOOKS like he is on drugs) yet the kid had a hoodie on. We also hear them tell him he doesn't need to follow him, but he does anyway. The man got out of his car and is chasing this kid on foot. Who do you think was more scared for their lives, the 17 year old kid running away, or the 28 year old ARMED man chasing him down?

Now I could be wrong, but at worst case scenario, TM could have hid and caught him off guard with a blitz attack. At that point, what is there to talk about? You're a teenage boy in a neighborhood you don't live in trying to evade a grown man who for no reason other than wearing a hoodie and walking to the store has deemed you a threat. Folks love to talk about his history, but what was he doing the night he was killed? He didn't break any laws that night, and there was no indication he was going to break any. But folks sure love to paint him as a thug who got what he deserved.

I don't care is he was a straight A 17 year old white kid with a waiting scholarship to Harvard. Comparing Sandy Hook and this Trayvon Martin thing, are not even in the same ballpark

If he was a white kid, he'd likely still be alive.

But I agree with you.

Where is the outrage over these school children that the kenyan murders every month?

Don't you care about the children? Bush left office and now you are fine with this.

Oh Joy. A T-Shirt. Yay! waiting for the comic book, Mr. Foxx, then I'll pay attention.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

The shirt says "no justice". I'd like to know what Jamie Foxx would consider to be justice in both cases. It's very easy to throw slogans on a shirt, but I'd like him to explain himself and how he connects the two.

He would rather just throw on a t-shirt and pretend to care about their causes.

Do you know what I find amusing about all of this?

The same folks on here, who have guns and always defend using them in any situation: Pull up in someone's driveway on accident and get shot for rolling down the window? You deserve it. End up in someone's else house on accident and get shot? You should have known better. Deadly force is authorized in most of these cases, and it's never an issue for anyone who has a gun.

But, this kid, who was walking home from the store, being stalked by a stranger with a gun, who was running to catch him, who committed no crime other than being black with a hoodie, is being cruxified for doing what any pro gun owner would have done earlier.

If he was a white kid, he'd likely still be alive.

But I agree with you.

If he was a white kid in a hoodie, he wouldn't ever register a look.

Maybe so. But to compare it to a bunch of 4th graders being slaughtered at an elementary school is pretty insulting to the families of the dead children IMO. Talk about being opportunistic.

While it's a bunch of anti gun nuts. What would you expect.

As for Jamie Fox. I like his work, and support his right to make whatever statement he wishes to make. How much better if a chick did it topless.

I believe that a kid that has been suspended from school 3 different times, and has a history of drug use is much more likely to have instigated some situation than a straight A honor student. Does not mean it is an absolute but a indicator. his character absolutely makes a difference.
