How many people here doing AOS have received RFE's for materials that were already sent in the original submission? For that matter, has ANYONE received an AOS RFE for something OTHER than materials that were already sent?

I have to believe that the USCIS is

a) unbelievably incompetent and loses application materials on a regular basis,

B) unbelievably incompetent and lazy, and can't be bothered to look in the application packages for the materials that were already sent,

c) unbelievably screwed up and uses useless RFE's to buy time and cover up the fact that they are not meeting their mandated processing times, or

d) all of the above.

me.

i'm wondering if when we send in the 3 (or 2) applications at once that this stuff goes astray when they separate them at Chicago. even though i had each one clipped together i'm sure someone in the mail room takes them all apart. i know if i lost paperwork on a consistant basis at my previous job, i'd have been fired.

i'll not be too grumpy if this doesn't hold things up too much and if it means AOS sans interview.

<sigh> i'd be happy with my EAD at this point though. i'd like to get a DL and a library card. oh, and maybe even a job
