do not go alone.take your wife with you.

Wrong.

For the naturalisation interview, the spouse is not required, and in fact not allowed in with you anyway. You WILL need to bring evidence of bonafide marriage if you are filing based on 3 years marriage (evidence of joint bank account/ bills, joint lease or ownership of home, both parents being on birth cert of any kids born etc).

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

I went alone on my naturalization interview in 2007 and been asked about my wife if she attending with me.

I took with me a lot of evidence for our bonafide marriage.

I passed the test.but the officer asked me to send him more evidence.

I respond to the officer by mailing the evidence to him.

2 years later I got a call from the officer asking me for more evidence.my wife passed away that time.naturalization denied.

bull ######.the officer is human and they might be in bad mood that time.or raciest to other culture.

the spouse is not required to attend interview, but the dumb officer asked for my wife that time.if he wasn't dumb.then he wouldn't ask.

so I dont know what call that officer.he crossed the law by asking for my wife and you guys giving an advices to people that might cost them a lot of pain and stress.

take your wife with you buddy.

well.i forgot to mention the officer asked me to call my wife that time.I asked for a phone so I can call my wife to come to the interview.you know our cell phones are not allowed in the immigration building.

the officer followed me and says.ohhhhh i thought your wife is in the waiting room.so forget about it.

I had my interview yesterday. My appointment was at 11:20 and my wife and me showed up at 10:45. We were told to wait until my name was called. At 12:45 the officer came into the waiting area and told me it would be another 30 minutes. At 1:15 he called me in, my wife had to wait in the waiting room.

He apologized for being so late and proceeded with the interview which went really fast since he was behind so much. I don't think it took more than 20 minutes. Everything ewent fine, no surprises, so at the end he gave me a N-652 form, naturalization interview results. He checked the box that says USCIC will send you a written decision about your application. He also said it would take 30 to 60 days...

He said that he does not see anything that would be an issue so is this normal? I did get arrested back in Belgium many years ago for something minor. I never was convicted to do anything but pay a fine and same as with the green card interview they didn't seem to care much about this case being it wasn't severe and I was young. Is this why he didn't check the box that says 'Congratulations! your application has been recommended for approval.' or does this happen a lot?

It hapens a lot, because they often need supervisor sign off, or if your interview happened before the 3rd/ 5th anniversary.
