They didn't ask anything specific, they only put a list of all the evidence possible to give them. I send them everything other than evidence of a credit card together and pictures.

I'll add this and add more letter I guess.

We were renting my parents in law's house since 2009 but last September 2012 we stop renting it and start living on our property while we are building our house. I hope this won't bother them.

Did you provide joint tax transcripts from all the years you have been married? Did you provide proof of joint accounts that span the entire length of your marriage? You have insurance of any type together or one named as a beneficiary of the other? Wills? Medical directives? Joint loans? Utility/phone bills in both names or some in one name and some in the other at the same address? Copies of drivers license/state IDs showing same address? For sure send the proof of the joint credit card account, and show how long you have had it together.

They seem to be most interested in financial co-mingling that is throughout the length of your marriage. So, maybe send more bank statements from the last 2 years too. Anything you can think of that shows co-mingling and sharing the same address should be helpful. Send in proof of renting from your mother in law since 2009 and proof of where you have lived together since 2012.

Life insurance etc doesn't actually show someone that you trust them with money

Did you read the part that i said we have joined auto loan. Sure it is not as strong as the mortgate payment however it still show that we trust eachother with money. It is $400 monthly payment for the next few years. Some people have rental lease but most likely it is 12 months lease.

as for the tax return, if you look at the original post, I said that we sent them 2011 copy of tax return, im going to send them copy of 2010 and 2012 tax return ( join filling as married couple)

To everyone

We both have a bank account with chase ( individualy, different account number)

we can print out our bank statements start from the beginning 2009 up until now ( we get married in jun 2010). We moved in together over a year before we get married. Even we dont share same account with chase and the billing anddress is the same for both of us.

Should I do it? if so do i have to print every page on the statement or just the first page that show the anddress, account # and date

They don't care about your separate bank accounts, as I said. Still no answer on new taxes. I'm out!

Now I'm getting worried. I was pretty confident until reading this thread!

No idea if they'll accept us on the first submission, but I printed out two bank statements from our joint checking account (one per year of marriage). I then highlighted all of the joint bills coming out of the account per month and wrote down a key (ie name of cell phone provider, name of electric company) so they knew which was which. I also provided utility statements in each of our names showing the same address, renter's insurance policy with our address, leases with both names in the last 2.5 years, etc.

That, in addition to insurance beneficiary statements from both workplaces, 2 years of jointly filed state and federal taxes (no W2s though, dammit), 3 sworn affidavits from friends, vacation flight itineraries, and photos from vacations (including ones with each other's families).

We don't own a car, property or have kids.

Hopefully I don't get an RFE!

Life insurance etc doesn't actually show someone that you trust them with money. You don't deal with that insurance every day, and you can't get money from it.

Absolutely disagree with you here. This shows that you are willing to give every penny that you put into a life insurance policy to the person or persons named. Would you want to give, oh, say $100,000 to just anyone? Um, no. Also, at most employers, BIG employers, you can only put your direct relatives, such as spouse, children, grand-children as the benefactors.

I disagree on the deed. No need for joint deed or utilities especially if house was bought before marriage. With that said...

joint bank accounts

joint credit cards

car Insurance

car loans for cars after marriage

health insurance

beneficiary information

401k

Cell phone family plan

Finished!

Right, you can only put those people, and you don't get the money, because you are dead. It's not actually your money. So you might as well put someone (I am guessing the OP doesn't have children or grandchildren!).

Gap1, you should have sent more than two bank statements. Many people have gotten RFEs for more bank statements. One a quarter, at the least, seems good. But what's done is done, so if you get RFE you can send more statements. Your package overall looks pretty good though so it might not matter.

I have had friends ask me to be a co-signor on a car loan (I've said no, but certainly doesn't prove that you are living with anyone, anyone could co-sign)

I have no family, and have always had close friends listed as beneficiaries on my insurance and such (someone might as well inherit something, but I'm not related and don't live with these people).

I am reading that some people are saying that the deed to the house can not be adjusted without refinance (makes sense, but my friend added her husband to her house without refinancing - perhaps that was in error).

Just my thought, I would start by adding each other's names to your bank accounts (even after the fact, it is showing trust in each other's funds), and make certain there is no possible way to get the name added to the deed.

Credit Card bills and bank statements with common address could be helpful (I'm really fishing for you), but I wouldn't have my bank statement/credit card bills/phone bills getting sent to an address of somewhere I wasn't living...

best would certainly be to have what it is you need as proof!

One more thing which might help some plp. When we were interviewed for the 2 year GC, after the interviewer told us that we were approved, he told us to send ALL bank statements when we file to remove conditions(2 years worth). He also said affidavits are not that important because anyone can fake those. He said we should send affidavits but don't depend on those to prove everything. When we filed to remove conditions, we noticed that 2 years worth of bank statements is a lotttttt of paper. So we just kept the front page of each statement (one with the summary) and the page with all deposits and credits. We didn't include all the activity but we did include all 2 years so it showed that we have joint banks from 2 years with decent amount of money in it.

So if I have about 20 affidavits from friends and family, it won't change anything?

I Even when see the Sheriff in town to write me a letter...

All this for nothing you think?

I would submit utility bills even though they only have one spouse on it. On all my utility bills, even though both our names were in it, only one name shows up on the bills. So some bills are in my name and others would be in his. I submitted these as they were. Not all utility companies will put both names on the bill

i sent everything that i said on the first post, even we have different bank account but the billing anddress is the same so i sent all bank statements from both of us in the last 3 years, plus some hospital bill, purchase that i made, even just have my name on it. it does show that both my husband and i live in the same anddress. I sent it back 2 weeks ago and they approved my case exactly 1 weeks after they received the package so that was quicker that i thought.
