I've finished my YouTube video, I will let you judge for yourselves and give feedback and advice. Will perhaps make some slight changes with it and then it will go public. Don't share yet until I give the green light!

I would keep the first few minutes more politically neutral. I would omit the "mostly democrats" wanting votes.

Don't present political undertones in favor of one or the other party. This is about immigration and family unity not

Obama. Keep it neutral or piss people off, is my input.

I'll think it over, but it is just quite difficult to keep it politically neutral. I figure this video isn't going to change the minds of bleeding heart Obama clones anyway. And with Obama's approval rating at 45% and falling, I think I will take my chances and appeal to those who are skeptical of the administration's policies.

It is hard for me to keep politics out of it, because without DACA and without Obama's re-election and Napolitano's power tripping, I believe that most everyone from July-September, if not beyond, would have been processed by now.

I would have to say as well, that other than the political stuff it's a great video. You have a lot more detail than mine, and the graphs make the point clearly.

I understand you feel the need to take stabs at the administration, but that would still have the effect of alienating (pardon the pun) about half the viewers, and also this would have the effect of reducing the sharing of the video. The goal is to get as many eyes on it as possible, share it and take action.

Perhaps it would be shared with more conservatives with the political stuff, but libs wouldn't share it at all. and if only conservatives are taking action, then it becomes a political fight, and then it becomes an ideological issue, rather than a bureaucratic one. I think that would hurt more than help.

I know myself, speaking as a farther-left-than-Obama liberal, would be uncomfortable posting it because of that part of the message, and I doubt most of my friends and family would share it for the same reason.

You and I are both in this together, and despite having a media that revels in political division, most people out there understand fairness and right vs. wrong outside of political affiliation, pointing it out only creates a divide that doesn't need to exist. Also removing the political element keeps the issue bipartisan, and won't be dismissed by congress people on the left side of the isle. There are plenty of VJ members who are going to be working with lefties, regardless of their own affiliation to try to get results. We shouldn't make things harder for them as well.

I certainly respect your opinions on the issue, and this is a kick #### video! I'd like for as many people to see it as possible, and I'm taking that as my primary consideration with my comments.

Thanks for your hard work on this!

Thanks for your hard work on this!

You are braver than me -- I wanted to post exactly this but held off. I am extremely liberal/progressive/socialist. I am furious at the CSC processing. I believe the CSC is mishandling and manipulating petitions to save face. The fact that I vote and want progressive liberal policies, and my outrage against the CSC are not correlated in any way. Mixing politics into this just seems like a complete mistake to me -- this is in no way a partisan issue.

I like your video without the politics but I won't be sharing it with anyone because of that. We ARE all in this together and I appreciate your hard work!

I am an Obama supporter. My heart is not bleeding but I agree with implementing DACA. What I disagree with is putting the

DACA cases ahead of legal immigration petitions which is in my opinion an oversight of the director. I am not here to bicker about my political affiliation or be disrespected for it but to get the job done of speeding up CSC, be it DACA or water damaged files. It is your choice how you want to present your video.

You asked for input and I gave it.

I think that a video that brings people together is more powerful than a video that divide people into camps. So I do like the second half of it with the numbers and graphs but not the political aspect.

Thanks for the feedback.

Perhaps I could make a second version of the video which is politically neutral. It will probably be shorter though perhaps I could pad the empty spots with some other non-political K-1 history or facts.

That way I could keep the original video and could share it with GOP elected officials and conservative social media, which I do want to do. And the second modified video could be for more public non-political consumption.

The second non-political video though probably will not have any DACA information or mention whatsoever in it. I feel that if I mention DACA, I must expose it. If the word DACA comes out of my mouth then I am going to criticize it - or it I feel like I am not being authentic.

I have no delusions that this video - either version - will change the world or become a national sensation or anything like that. It wouldn't matter if I had Martin Scorcese redo it for me. Like my friend said, frankly our message has a limited audience. Not many people are going to watch the whole video, let alone share it or call their senator. In most cases it will just be raising a bit of awareness - which is better than nothing. It takes a special person with a sympathetic mindset to absorb all this and comprehend our plight. They haven't lived it like we have so there is only so much that gets through. That's just reality.

Well, I can share some of my stats, if that's any indicator.

According to the analytics, it's been viewed 893 times since last friday. of these, 548 were in the US. Next highest was the Philippines, with 99...after that everyplace else was less than 25, from a ton of different countries.

Even though it's about 3.5 min long, not everyone watches all of it. in the US, the average view duration is about 2 minutes. Most views were on the first day, and it's leveled off below that now.

it's been shared 9 times on facebook, and 3 times on google + (that's disappointing) :crying:

Also, since things are starting to pick up at CSC, it could be that the validity of this could be dropping soon, and since people have short attention spans, if it doesn't start of well, it could be buried fast.

SHARE THIS VIDEO to promote the USCIS delays!

Don't be disheartened, your video is very good. I shared it on my FB and so did my fiancee.

Even if CSC is getting it's act together pronto, I still think it's important. Perhaps a mod at VJ can create a sticky for these videos and then a few years down the road if K-1's have severe slowdowns again, perhaps someone can look back and say "see these are recurring issues and USCIS needs to get it's act together".
