So, I would like to firstly say how grateful I am for all of the support I have received here.

I'm happy to say that I received my NOA2 in the mail, with no RFE, which is utterly shocking to me. I didn't have a signed letter of intent to marry from my fiancee, but was still approved. I guess that having lived in Mongolia for so long made my case strong, but I'm not sure.

I would like to mention that I never received any notification by email, and the USCIS site still says that it's under Initial Review. Somehow, they didn't update my case. It was approved April 11th.

I wish the very best of luck to everyone who is still waiting. I do feel a bit guilty about receiving my NOA2 in less than four months, when other people have been waiting much longer. Although my fiancee and I have a good understanding of the patience necessary for this, her kids don't, and the fact that I won't be away from them for much longer makes me extremely happy. There's nothing as painful as having your kids (even if they are not biologically yours) grow up without being there to make fun of them for it.

Best of luck to all of you. You never know -- maybe your NOA2 is in the mail right now!

I am still deathly afraid of the next steps. The embassy has so much power, and there's so little one can do to appeal.

However, what will happen will happen. My fiancee and I just have to do our best.
