I think I mentioned this when Patriot was talking about his friend who made unregistered machine guns (which Patriot did not report to BATFE because it's OK if you make your own, you just should not be able to buy a gun that LOOKS like a machine gun but isn't). Then turned out his friend didn't inhale swallow, and it was just a piece of scrap metal he carried in his wallet. Right? Isn't that how the bullsh*t story goes?

At any rate, yeah, guns are pretty low tech. They have been around since the 11th century and the Afghans made them by holding metal between their feet and filing it to shape, diced up cinema film (nitro-cellulous) for gunpowder and defeated a world super-power with the result (and a little help from the CIA) Twice they did this, if we include the Brits a century and a half ago. They didn't need the CIA to defeat the Brits.

I have been making my own ammunition since I was a freshman in high school including my own brass cartridge casings for obsolete cartridges using a hand operated press. I don't even need electricity!

Most of the anti-gun people are too stupid to understand the low tech mechanics of firearms and freak out at the idea of flash hiders and pitol grips, or even (OMG!) a flashlight attached to a rifle.

This ought to cause them to vibrate and explode like the aliens in "Mars Attacks"
