"Place of birth" different between Birth Cert vs. Passport/Marriage Cert

I'm preparing for the processing of my approved I-130 by NVC (just received my case # today), so gathering the necessary documents. I took a look at my birth cert (which my parents had) and it seems that my "place of birth" on there is different from my passport and marriage cert.

Passport and Marriage Cert says "Manila, Philippines" but Birth Cert says "San Isidro, Nueva Ecija" (which is about 1.5hrs north of Manila). As I was going by my CDN Passport and Marriage Cert, which I had on hand at the time, I put "Manila" as my place of birth on the I-130 and G-325A.

Will this be a problem and if yes, what will I need to correct it? Thanks.

Honestly this is not something I have seen before.

Just replying to bump you up in the hope that you will get an informed answer from someone who has seen it or has had experience with it.

Good Luck!

I'm more curious as to how you were able to get a Canadian passport without them seeing that your birth certificate and what your paperwork said didn't match. I would suggest for starters that you get a new passport right away. You can go apply in person and correct it and have it back within a few days if you pay for the rush service. You will want this to match your birth certificate in my opinion.

Where is your marriage certificate from? Is that something that can be updated?

Your passport comes in to play later in the process but you'll need to scan the bio page soon.

I honestly don't know what advice to give you. I just know that items such as these are likely to be scrutinized and if I were you I would be taking actions to correct these errors so that you can represent yourself accurately and not have problems later.

Again, just my opinion. Hopefully someone else can shed some more useful light on options here.

For CDN passport, I only needed to submit my CDN citizenship card and my drivers license. This is the first time EVER that I've seen my birth cert...on any legal documents before, my parents have always said Manila, Phil.
