I'm married to an American citizen and we are going to apply for green card through marriage. My father in law is preparing to be our joint sponsor, but we have a problem here. His weekly income differs greatly because his working time and schedule changes every week. How can we estimate his annual income for this year? He works for a different employer from last year now. My mother in law says she's gonna put last year's income because his working hours varied last year too, but it's a different employer now so I'm very worried. I know we should be asking a lawyer for help but we can't afford a lawyer. If anyone has gone through the same problem and an attorney or someone told you how to calculate the annual income, please tell me how. Thank you for the help!
