Hello,

I, US citizen, and my wife have submitted AOS to get her green card.

I got receipts from USCIS, and they mailed me a notice for my wife to be finger-printed.

The response was rather quick; in about 3 weeks.

Is this normal? I am not complaining, here, but just curious.

Also, does the interview come 3-5 months after finger-printing these days?

Can it come quicker?

Thank you all who responds in advance..

Not a K-1 process, moved to AOS forums.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Welcome to the forum.

The processing dates/times associated with the various AOS steps are totally dependent on USCIS time schedule (as has been with this entire immigration journey  ). A quick review of the AOS progress forum will demonstrate that those dates/times have been all over the board.

Check our signature block for AOS dates as but one example.

When you get a chance :time: It helps everyone that uses the forum.

Good luck, hope that you soon have a successful conclusion to your AOS process.

Thank you..

What does ROC mean?

And how do I assaign my post to a certain forum?

ROC is removal of conditions. Required to be filed before the expiration of your 2 year green card.

You select the correct forums for your post via the forums button and the forums descriptions and post your new topic inside that forums.

Yes, the fingerprinting may be scheduled within 3 weeks. If you look at my timeline, mine took only about 3 weeks from first submitting my application.

As for the interview, it depends on your local office. Some offices are faster, some are slower. If your wife is AOS'ing from a K1 visa, she might even get approved without an interview. I agree with the others, it would be very helpful if you could provide us with more data, like local office, visa your wife used to come to the U.S., etc.
