When sending in the required documents for the DS-230 if the USC petitioner was previously married is a copy of the divorce documents needed? Since the application is for the beneficiary I would think only if the beneficiary who the VISA application is for would this would apply.

I was confused about this too.

Others said that the DS-230 is for the beneficiary. She hasn't been married before so no documents needed from me.

Not sure, hopefully someone will correct me, but I would send it to verify that you were free to marry?

I also have that same question plus one more. My opinion would be since the application is for the beneficiary they would be the one that would have to supply the document. She has two girls and there is very little information of what is required for them. I would ask for someone who know to please answer in specifics. What document they send for each person. With the NOA2 approval do they give your a list of document for the IV DS-230

Sometimes if you did Direct Consular Filing, you need to supply originals or certified copies of the petitioner's civil documentation. Check with your consulate or embassy if you did DCF.

Go to this link and read all of the first two posts and all the links. After you do that, you should have a good idea of what's needed and what is not.
