I would just like to know how long it took you to get your AOS approved?

My wife is from Taiwan and she entered the county in June 2012. We were married in August 2012 and we sent the AOS paperwork in mid-October 2012. In mid-November 2012, she had your biometrics done at our local office and she received her Employment Authorization Card in December 2012. We have heard nothing since December 2012 and as of today, it has been 6 months since we sent in the paperwork. How long does this usually take? If I don't hear anything within the next several weeks, I will contact my congressman. Has anyone had any success with this?

Thanks for any information.

If you did not get an interview and your petition is being processed at NBC (MSC) then it is taking 9 months or more. There are still some July filers and most of August still waiting for approval. We filed the first of Sept. and I was able to put in a service request 2 weeks ago but have heard nothing. You are not alone and are not out of normal processing time yet.

there are lots of threads on this subject

The good thing is you most likely will not have an interview. Although, having gone through it, I'd take the interview and speedy green card over the long wait. But yes, 9 months seems about common right about now.

Because we had an interview, ours took about 12 weeks total from start to finish.

But I'd say in the next three months. Contacting your congressperson can help. I just read a thread where they did that, and the got the notice fairly quickly that their card was in production. So I think it's worth a shot!

Check our signature block. We were August 2013 filers. It took 105 days from filing, interview, to receipt of GCs.

YMMV

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Just curious, why do you think we will not have an interview? I thought they interveiwed everyone?

No, they don't interview everyone. Usually, if you are going to get an interview, the process goes fairly quickly. And for most people who have their petition sent off, they take a long time, but usually are not called for an interview. That seems like the two choices, fast and interview, slow and no interview. I can't say for sure that you won't get one. But it seems from others experience that you are more likely not to have to have one with the wait you are experiencing.
