We all have same pain ,patience made me crazy , one of my friend by pd 9 th sep 2011 has approved after 8 month on april 2012 , why ? This not fair , also i know some body with 19 th sep 2011 pd that got his approval letter last month , there is no any consequence ! God will this week , i filled inquiry form 3 times without any result except you have to wait! What should we do guys ? If we will current in August , it's time leakage big time for doing our NVC process. , so jumping in VB does not help us any more unfortunately !

My F2A journey:

Sep 2011: I-130 sent

Sep 2011: Priority date

24 May 2013: NOA2(after 606 days: 20 months)

NVC:

31 May 2013: enter into NVC Building,

10 Jun 2013: Case number received,

12 Jun 2013: DS-3032 sent Via E-Mail,

15 Jun 2013: AOS bill received and paid,

22 Jun 2013: DS-3032 accepted,

25 Jun 2013: IV bill received and paid,

11 July 2013: IV & AOS package sent,

7 AUG 2013: IV accepted

7 AUG 2013: checklist for AOS Packages

12 SEP 2013: Case completed,(after 105 days)

I agree with you Omnia :( this is discrimination uscis does to us.. U.S citizen can get aprove beetwen 3 or 5 months but GC holder more then 20 months!!! But we all pay the same amount tax every year..

I applied the I-130 for my wife in March 2011, got a receipt dated April 03, 2011. Since then until now there has been no action on my I-130, the processing date at Vermont Service Center states Feb 2011. How long does it take to approve the I-130? I mean the priority date on the June Visa Bulletin is June 2011, if April 2012 comes up fast and still no action on my I-130 then what am I supposed to do?

Any suggestions or advice!

What is your PD? April 2011 or April 2012?

I got a little confused with your post.

If your PD is April 2011, then you are already current. But since you are not yet approved, you cannot be scheduled for an interview. I hope that you receive your NOA2 soon to catch up.

If April 2012 is your PD, you are still half way to go. This fast movement could mean retrogression (i hope not) or very slow movement soon. So you still have time to prepare documents for NVC stage.

I'm sorry, I meant 2012, not 2011.

Applied for and got the receipt of I-130 on April 03, 2012 just a few days after I submitted the application.

This is the problem, I called USCIS, they said you don't have a priority date until your I-130 get approved. Right now the Vermont Service Center is processing those whose applications were submitted Feb 2011 and before. I told her I have read online about so many people who had dates after Feb 2011 and they are getting interviews already, she couldn't answer my question on that. She said when your case is approved and they send the I-130 to the NVC for processing then your April 03, 2012 date will become your priority date and a visa can be issued once the Visa bulletin reaches that date.

So my point is its been more than a year, I didn't even get a RFE or anything that could show that my case is actually being worked on. It seems to me that with the Visa bulletin priority date moving so fast, soon it will pass April 2012 and I still won't have my I-130 approved.

I am just hoping that the Immigration Reform bill gets passed ASAP that will help eliminate this problem. Also I will be eligible to apply for citizenship on Nov 23, 2013, my 5 yrs get done Feb 23, 2014. So if worst come to worst I am hoping I can become a citizen soon and then things can speed up.

Any suggestions if I can do anything else at this point in time?

Good afternoon,

I am new to this site and I'm glad there is forum like this. Anyways my mom petitioned my sister in November 2011 and her priority date is november 21 2011. We haven't received any letter from USCIS aside from NOA I-797C. We were patiently waiting for the last 18 months now. Per Visa Bulletin, they currently processing the priority date of March 2011. What if your priority date becomes current and you haven't heard anything from USCIS, what will happen? ... Thanks. -ivy
