Hi Im new here, I know its off the topic but this thread is the one that most popular to read, anyway just wanna ask if i should file citizenship instead of waiting for my husband petition to get approve, by the way his Priority date is March 13, 2012 and its been 14months and I never get any NoA2 im worried about it. Should I file for citizenship and convert his petition as petitioned by a us citizen spouse or should i just wait for him to get approve? Please help me decide.. All I want is for him to be with our family here.. :) thank you..

Yeah, do the citizenship and have the petition upgraded to IR1/CR1. He will be approved faster as spouses of US Citizens always have visas available for them as compared to F2A.

After you receive your Naturalization Certificate, you can email or call USCIS for the upgrade.

Thank you for your response, do you know how long to wait after I upgrade my petition for my husband?
