So me and my fiance filed our petition August 13th and STILL haven't got our NOA2! Not only that, but 10 days ago our baby came prematurely! He will be in hospital for at least another month, but just wondering where we go from here? Father is on the birth certificate, so can baby be classed as both US and UK citizen? Also, do we have to inform anyone? US embassy or CA office?

Congrats on the baby, hope he will thrive and get to leave the hospital soon! You need to register him at the embassy so he can get a US passport, here is the details: http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/acs/passports/robirth4.html

Bye: Penguin

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Great advise as usualy from lady P, also add you can delay the K-1, if needed, just reschedule your interview for medical reasons, baby to young to travel. Registor baby at U.S. embassy get U.S. passport, get K-1 visa baby and mother travel to U.S. together no problem, this happens all the time.

and Congradulations.

Congratulations. I hope everything goes well for you and your baby. I'm gonna deliver our princess last week of May and by that time we will be hiting our 7.5 months if waiting. It's crazy that when we filed were thinking of my k1 petition but now it's all about crba :) well let's all hope for the best.

Good luck :)

After your case gets to London, you can list him where it asks for your children on the DS-156k and the DS-230 part 1. Your previous forms were correct on the date they were signed, so not really a problem with that. Your baby won't needed to apply for a visa if you get him a US passport to travel on.

Congratulations. I hope he grows strong and comes home soon.

Thanks for all the congratulations! Baby wasn't due til June, 11 weeks early! Doing very well.

Is there anyway we could file for baby to have dual citizenship? Unsure of when I'll be able to take him out of the country.

Also, anyone else waiting so long for their NOA2? Really would like to hear from them! Been 8 months now!! :(

Start gattering all the documents you will need to report your child's birth. The baby will need to travel to the US on his American passport. He can't enter on his British passport...

7 months and 4 days since NOA1. But still waiting. And congratulation for your baby. Don't give up. My fiance tried to talk to the inside person and just pray and hope they will do the one who already wait for a long time for the k1 visa :)
