gotcha, u did have EAD before...someone knows better than me if it's an easy renewal...well then no need to go to P.A. at all; they'd give u hard time to explain who's your benevolent aunt, and you'd probably get nothing. they want your rental receipts and explanation of how u pay your rent. if u don't pay rent, they don't want to assess u at all. just apply at a Medicaid office, not P.A. office

so what papers do u need to work on? u've simplified your affairs totally. just renew EAD (don't forget waiver of fees) and find like u said a "real job". To get your VAWA approved, keep up therapy. Then GC next year. Best of luck to u girl!

"...

The answer to the question of who is to be considered PRUCOL is relatively straightforward in both the Safety Net and the Medicaid program when USCIS has actually given permission to someone to remain in the country for an indefinite period, for example a grant of deferred action.."

http://www.empirejustice.org/issue-areas/immigrant-rights/access-to-public-benefits/access-to-medicaid/nys-doh-clarifies-prucol.html

It means Uscis MUST have acknowledgement of the alien presence in the U.S. It means without PF or any other documents showing that the USCIS know the alien is here they will not approve any benefit.

Your old work permit was cancelled when your AOS was denied, it cannot be renewed as it was based upon the pending AOS. Your PF by itself will not permit you to obtain a work permit. You will need to file the I-485 and I-765 based upon your pending I-360 to obtain a work permit.

Passport renewal is up to consular services of your country.

As to EAD, the conclusion you just made is not the singular answer. Whoever has helped you to file I-360, should advise you whether it make sense to file I-485 and thus be eligible to file for EAD immediately. Given that you are reluctant to deal with HRA on their terms (I.e. prove to HRA how you pay rent), you need EAD quick

OP, dealing with Public Assistance is no easier than dealing with USCIS. Of course PF allows you to apply for various assistance, because now u r a PRUCOL. But if you don't satisfy P.A. mandatory questions, they will not activate assistance. An important part of the application is address and composition of household, which is verified thru landlord. Income and assets of everyone living in that apartment will be requested.

1. Get an advocate at DV organization, or pro-se at Fair Hearing office

2. Never leave P.A. office without dated papers; they cannot be held accountable for any verbal answer

Whatever your reason for participation here, you have not helped OP and also misled other DV victims.

1. OP is not undocumented. She is PRUCOL

2. Even before she got PF, her eligibility for emergency cash assistance, Medicaid and state food stamps could have been assessed by DVL (Domestic Violence Liaison), who is the only person at Public Assistance office she should be asking for. Regular customer assistance is not even allowed to proceed taking her information, if she comes in with her Protective Order

Food stamps...undocumented ppl get foodstamps?

This lady has grasp the understanding of English

and the system verrrry well

OP, you confused members with your multiple nicks. and strange communications from advisors

1. your I-360 will be approved, or you will get RFE bona-fide marriage relationship. If you hear nothing, request extension 3 weeks in advance of P.F. expiry date

2. You were told long ago to file I-485 and I-765. Without EAD, you're not allowed to accept any salary incl. babysitting

3. Your main problem at Public Assistance office will be beyond them not knowing that P.F. entitles you to be processed. They will pay you nothing if you don't disclose income/assets everyone living with you. They will not process you, if you don't officially prove your rent arrangements
