Dear Friends,

I already applied for asylum and I live in Missouri which is not one of the Immigrations' center. How much do you think it will take me to have my interview and do I still have the right to apply for work authorization if they refer me to an immigration judge till I get the answer for my case?

Many thanks

Really

Dear Friends,

I already applied to an asylum and they accepted my case. I get married to an American Citizen.

My question is on which case I should get my green card. I mean they will grant me the green card as an asylee or as a husband for an American citizen?

Thanks

**** Two posts and similar subjects merged and moved to AOS from Work/ Student etc as it seems to fit best ****

We would need a timeline to advice you better- when did you apply for asylum? If you were approved fully, you should have gotten EAD already. When did you marry the USC? Did you file for anything based on that yet?

Actually, I mean they accepted my application and I am wait my interview. I applied last February and I received a receipt on March saying that my case is pending till I have the interview. How long does it take to have the interview as I live in Missouri? I know I can apply for work authorization after 150 days. Do they count the 150 from the time I received the receipt saying that they received my application or from the day I sent the application?

I am not going to talk about my marriage now because the question will be too complicated.

Hope you can answer my questions.

Many thanks really
