When was this petition on " We the People" site created?

I signed it.

One thing I am concerned about, however, is the language of the petition. It really doesn't explain what I-129F petitions are, so, unfortunately, only those who already know what it is, and the ramifications of this backup, will probably sign it. A lot of people will be hesitant to sign a petition related to speeding up anything related to immigration, because they will be thinking about illegal aliens and worried it has something to do with letting more illegal aliens in.

For example, most people who aren't directly involved in this process has no idea on I-129F. We might better call it "the first step of US Fiance Visa" etc., something more generally understandable.

It should work to invite wording ideas here in VJ before starting another .gov petitions, if we need to.

It seems every month or so someone gets up in arms and attempts one of these things and then it fizzles out.

If you want to get anywhere you need a well written out petition which makes everything very clear to the average person on the street. You have many "facts" but no evidence. You don't know for certain that no petitions have been processed from Cali. You just know that no VisaJourney petitions with timelines have been processed. There is a difference.
