My fiancée lives in Chongqing China and the closest United States Embassy to her is in Chengdu China, but I heard that all applications for K-1 Visa's must be applied and interviewed for in Guangzhou China? So on the I-129F under PART B. Question 20. Your fiancé will apply for a visa abroad at the American embassy or consulate at:

Should I put Guangzhou China? Or can she apply in Chengdu China instead which will be closer to her? If someone has more information on this please let me know, Thank you.

She will interview in Guangzhou. I would enter Guangzhou. All Immigrant Visa and K-1's interview in Guangzhou. Chengdu is not an option.

The U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou Immigrant Visa Unit processes all immigrant visas for residents of the People's Republic of China. This is the only office that handles U.S. immigrant visas in China. Our office also processes immigrant visa applications for nationals of other countries on a discretionary basis.

Guangzhou, la.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Actually, I just realized that I made a huge mistake myself. I already sent in my application (8 months since NOA1 now and still have heard nothing) and now I realized I put Beijing on that form for the embassy, not Guangzhou. I was stupid at that time and really didn't do the research well enough and just heard it by ear that Beijing is where I needed to go for the embassy.

Do you think, after waiting all of these 8 months now, they are going to send back the application saying I did that wrong and have to start all over again???
