I just wanted to say that I did not feel shunned at all. I totally understand the sentiment. I know how I would feel still being stuck waiting. I will still be on this thread and just be more mindful of others feelings. I'll limit my posts about NVC to the NVC thread....I know I will see you all there soon anyways!!! Have a blessed day! good.gif

Guys..... i knw i am goin to ask somthing off topic.... but really need ur suggestions regarding AOS.

My wife is going to visit me very soon... and we are planning to go back together to US (fingers crossed)..... In the mean time, if we got NOA2 and then we need to submit AOS. Then few queries below:

1. Can someone another submit all the documents for NVC process on her behalf.

2. Do she need to submit her job letter to NVC for AOS (as she is going to resign from her job before coming here) or its only income tax return that she can submit.

When you get the email for who you want to appoint as your agent, it can be yourself as well as who you wants! Just as long as there have a email account and a good internet connection. All information is send to your email address. I'm my husband agent so I forward everything to him as well. As for when you send in you AOS paperwork, just make sure you have a copy of your last year tax form or transcript which you can send for free of charge from the IRS. And if you did tax any taxes while oversea, a letter from your employer will do as long as it shows that you were or are employed during the last tax year. You may need to have someone else say that there will provide support for you when you move back to the state, if your wife will be unemployed. I hope this helps.

Hi, I thought I would post here

US citizen filed for canadian wife form 130, they received on april 10, 2013, and gave me a MSC tracking code number.

Ever since, there has been no change in status, no RFE....just under "initial review"

Is this normal? Should I continue to wait or is there somebody I can call to see whats going on with my case?

Thanks.

Yes this is. They will only request a RFE if you didn't send in everything initially, or need more info on your case. Try calling and talking to a tier 2 operator and ask on the status of your case. I was saw a April 1, filer and have receive my NOA2 in Sept.

My husband is US citizen filing for Cdn spouse. We have the same April 10 priority date and still under review. I spoke to Tier 2 over a week ago and she said I should hear end of October or sometime in November. We are both living in Canada at the moment -- he will move back to the USA later this year. Married 22 years and both kids have dual citizenship -- so no flags!

It's been almost 6 months since since NOA1 (NBC) and is frustrating as ever!

It's so unfair that US soldiers get all the work done getting NOA2 within 1 or 2 months.

And their cases are the very cause why the VJ estimation is beyond accurate. It used to say June and now December.

Is this frustrating or what? :(

They're going off to war. You know, with bullets, bombs, and rocket launchers. I think a little family time is called for, whether we support said war or not.

Thanks for the response. So, do you recommend that my wife should not resign from her job until she submits AOS (as we don't have anyone else to provide support once we are back)?

We really want to be together now (NOA2 is taking forever). Do we have any other way out? Can't we face any difficulties in NVC process if she will be with me (outside US) during that time?

I think its rude to shun people that have moved onto the next phase. As long as it is only one or two posts and doesn't take the entire board off topic, then what is the harm? I have found the people on this topic much more polite and willing to answer questions...we've bonded over shared frustrations and are willing to offer guidance and support and to share information with each other. I've tried posting questions in other topics, but I always end up coming back to this one with my tail between my legs because I either get ignored or receive terse replies.

Its not as if those people are saying "HA HA HA! I'm on the NVC STEP and you AREN'T!"....They're just asking for information...lets be happy for them, guide them as usual and continue to make them feel welcome. Who knows, maybe later on, when we are in that step and have questions, those people ahead of us will be able to provide answers....not so much if we are rude to them now. unsure.png

Hi Jilly30, just need some information from you... as you are also in India, how are you going to deal with NVC process. Are you going back for documents/fee submission. Should you have a job currently in the US (and right now you are on leave) to file AOS?
